On Saturday Lina heads to the supermarket beside the park. Loud carts squeak between aisles stuffed with bread tubs and yogurt pots. She hunts fresh apples, milk, and stubby butter bricks for a cake. Coins ready, she queues patiently at checkout. The cashier asks if she still needs another bag; Lina barely nods yes. She pays carefully, pockets the receipt, and thanks everyone louder than expected. Outside the street still smells like yesterday’s rain, yet her canvas haul stays dry tucked under one arm.
