Matteo and Lucia take their dog Leo to the large city park on Sunday morning, when the air is still fresh and the grass smells faintly of dew. They walk along the gravel path that borders the small pond and wave at a neighbor wearing bright green headphones. Leo carefully sniffs a bush near the water while some children play soccer in the distance with loud laughter. The two sit on a dark wooden bench and share an apple sliced into thin pieces wrapped in a paper napkin. Before heading home, they calmly discuss organizing a picnic for the following Sunday if the weather remains stable and kind.
