On Saturday morning, Misha boarded a train from Moscow to Yaroslavl and found seat twelve by the window.
He put his wet umbrella overhead and opened a book with dog-eared pages.
A minute later, a young woman arrived and showed her ticket. “It looks like we have the same seat.”
They compared the numbers: the seat was the same, but the tickets listed different carriages.
Misha looked at the sign by the door and sighed. “I got into the wrong carriage.”
Before leaving, he noticed that the woman had the same book he had just opened.
“Are you reading it too?” Misha asked, and she showed him a bookmark almost at the same page.
They agreed to meet for coffee at the station in Yaroslavl, then went to their separate carriages.
